WELCOME TO THE TOWN OF VERNON!

The Town of Vernon, originally a part of Muskego, was established March 8, 1839, which was before Wisconsin became a state.  For more of Vernon's history, click here.

The Town covers about 35 square miles with the Fox River running through the Town and the Vernon Marsh bordering the northwest corner of the Town.  Also, the Town of Vernon borders the Towns of Waukesha, and Waterford; Villages of Mukwonago and Big Bend and the Cities of Muskego and New Berlin.

Commuting from the Town to other major cities is easily accomplished via I-43, STH 164, CTH ES (National Avenue) and CTH L (Forest Home Avenue).

Our active Town Board continues to ensure needed residential services for people of all ages.  Vernon shares a Fire Department with the Village of Big Bend and has a great Park & Recreation program.
