 WINTER PARKING

From December 1 to April 1, 2 a.m. to 9 a.m., no person shall park or cause to be parked, any vehicle on Town of Vernon public highways or right-of-ways without the Town's permission, violators are subject to citations.
 

Gun Control Ordinance
 
In addition to State Law, the Town of Vernon restricts the use of firearms.  No rifle, shotgun, or pistol shall be fired or discharged in the Town except as follows: any property owner, occupant of real estate, or person having the written permission of the property owner or occupant of real estate, within the Town of Vernon, may use and discharge any rifle, pistol or shotgun, on premises owned or occupied by the user, or premises which are the subject of the written permission. Written permission must include the date or dates on which permission is given, the type of firearm allowed to be used and the signature of the person granting permission.  The discharge of pistols, rifles and shotguns is prohibited within 300 feet of any building as provided above.  The discharge of pistols, rifles and shotguns from or across any public road or within 50 feet of the centerline of said public road is prohibited.
