Veterans Day

tovveteransmemorialOn November 11, 2014, the Town of Vernon dedicated it's newly constructed Veteran's Memorial at the Vernon Town Hall.

Mitch Hollman, a Boy Scout in Troop 26 and a Town of Vernon resident, chose to construct the Veteran's Memorial as his Eagle Scout project.

This Memorial would not have been possible without the TIME, TALENT and TREASURE of so many people who volunteered to help build/finance this project!

Each year the Town of Vernon honors the sacrafice and dedication of our U.S. Veterans with a Veterans Day Ceremony.

"Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices." ~ Harry S. Truman
